Collaboration between NZG Modelle and CSR Racing 

Now available: The Mercedes-Benz CLA in 1:18 scale 

October 8, 2025: With the Mercedes-Benz CLA in 1:18 scale, NZG Modelle is presenting a new project that is not only a high-quality model vehicle, but also part of the internationally renowned mobile game CSR Racing, played by millions around the world.

How the project came about

At NZG, we work closely with Mercedes-Benz as an official licensing partner and supplier. Therefore we are involved early in the development of new vehicles and have access to the original vehicle data. This forms the basis for our “miniature” 3D model data, which is also of great value to video game manufacturers such as CSR Racing. To speed processes and connect real craftsmanship with digital gaming, we provided CSR Racing with the model data directly. Duplicate development processes and additional approval steps could be avoided. This allowed the Mercedes-Benz CLA Coupé to take shape in both the real and virtual worlds at the same time.

Synergies in development and marketing 

However, our cooperation is not limited to the provision of data, but also extends to the area of marketing. Together with CSR Racing, we have implemented a social media campaign and designed joint promotional packaging. This turns the digital car from the game into a tangible collector's item for some fans.

The Mercedes-Benz CLA in 1:18 scale

The Mercedes-Benz CLA model is available in two versions: a fully electric version and a hybrid version. The electric version allows the doors and trunk to be opened, while the hybrid model also has a functional hood. Both models impress with their clean lines, elegant silhouette, and a detailed interior that brings the fascination of the original to life on a smaller scale.

This project shows what’s possible when licensing, model-making, and gaming come together. It’s more than just a product. It’s a new kind of experience.
